We are so glad you are interested in our After School Rodeo at Horsepasture Christian Church (HCC)! Our goal is to create a safe environment for kids each Wednesday where they can play, enjoy a snack, get help with schoolwork, and learn that Jesus loves them.
The After School Rodeo will be overseen by representatives from HCC as well as volunteers from our community. Every adult helper will undergo a mandatory criminal background check and will be screened to ensure they work well with kids. Programming is scheduled from 3:00pm–5:30pm, so pick-up will be at 5:30. However, students are welcomed to stay for our church’s children’s ministry programming (HCC Kids) which will begin with supper at 6:00pm. For any students that opt to stay, there will be an activity to span the 30-minute gap between the end of the after-school program and the beginning of the children’s ministry programming. For students that stay for HCC Kids, pick-up will be at 7:30pm. In either case, parents are responsible for pick-up.
As far as getting your child/children to HCC, arrangements can be made for a bus to drop your child off at the church or for the HCC church van to pick your child up from school. Once you register, you will be contacted by an HCC representative to find out your preferred method for getting your child to After School Rodeo.
